Looks like every time we’re working on the Pegasus rooftops it’s terrible weather. 🌧️ WiFi Upgrade at Pegasus: Embracing Modern Connectivity It’s been a while, but we haven’t had the opportunity to talk about it yet — a couple of months ago (as you can see from the nice weather), FlatTurtle undertook a significant upgrade project at Pegasus, replacing End-of-Life (EoL) WiFi access points (AP). This upgrade encompassed all outdoor APs as well as some indoor units, bringing the entire network up to modern standards.

Installing WiFi in Technical Rooms At FlatTurtle, we always push to install WiFi access points inside IT stores and technical rooms. While these areas aren’t publicly facing, many of our friends and colleagues (fellow technicians) spend significant time working there, dealing with servers, racks, HVAC, circuit boards, and other equipment. These rooms are often “deep inside” buildings with little to no cell connectivity. Working and troubleshooting without connectivity can be a real hassle.

About a month ago, we embarked on a proof of concept at the Etterbeek NMBS station in collaboration with Stoomlink.com. They handle the content while we manage the hardware and connectivity.
