Expanding Connectivity for the Modern, Green Office

At FlatTurtle, we’re committed to making modern office spaces truly connected – extending WiFi beyond traditional workspaces to parking areas, where reliable connectivity can be a game-changer. As mobility trends shift, we’re finding new ways to accommodate connectivity needs, not just for smart cars but also for the growing fleet of shared bikes and other app-reliant transit options.

In many of our projects, like those at the Marquis building, WiFi has become essential for users relying on these shared mobility solutions. Traditionally, we installed WiFi access points to connect smart cars and even smart TVs in parking spaces, ensuring easy access to connectivity for work or entertainment on the go. But mobility doesn’t stop there. With the rise of shared bike stations within parking spaces, users now depend on app-based services to unlock, book, and use these bikes, requiring stable internet where cell service often falls short.

Bike space with WiFi

At Marquis, a bike-sharing station in the parking area now features a dedicated WiFi access point, providing seamless connectivity even in spots where cellular signal is weak or non-existent. Users can connect their phones to the WiFi, unlock bikes, and complete transactions without any hassle. This upgrade not only improves the user experience but also supports the broader shift toward sustainable, flexible commuting options.

As more companies embrace green and flexible transportation, we’re here to make sure that connectivity keeps up. Whether it’s connecting smart cars or shared bikes, our approach at FlatTurtle ensures that office spaces are equipped for the future of mobility, making every square foot—from desk to parking—fit for purpose.

Stay tuned to see how we continue enhancing connectivity to support the evolving demands of today’s workplaces.
